Introduction
The 'Crab and winkle' at Whitstable is an exquisite dining experience. If you love 'Fish' then a visit is not to be missed, the restaurant is the winner of the AA Rosette for culinary excellence 2008/9.
The restaurant overlooks a working Harbour, fish from the local boats is sold both in the restaurant and fish market below. This is why we can offer some of the finest fish and seafood in the area, with wine to complement.
How did we begin! The journey began in May 1830 with George and Robert Stephenson as supervising engineers. The first train called the 'invicta' was based on the design of the rocket and left Canterbury at 11.25am to the sound of the cathedral bells, cannons firing and bands playing. Day-trippers came from Canterbury to bathe in the sea and to enjoy the wonderful sea food which Whitstable was and still is famous for.
