Introduction
An award winning traditional Grade II listed freehouse, run by Nigel & Sue, dating from around 1530 and heavily timbered inside with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. We serve the picturesque village of Bildeston a former "wool town" in the heart of the lovely Suffolk countryside. We pride ourselves on our warm atmosphere and welcome families, walkers, cyclists, and of course our friendly locals. Cyclists can bring their bicycles round to our rear beer garden where you can relax in peaceful rural surroundings.
Quench your thirst with one of our own real ales brewed on site in the old cart lodge at the rear. Otherwise we always have a local guest ale, cider, plus draft or bottled lagers or ciders and our selection of fine wines or soft drinks.
If you are hungry try our varied menu of starters, mains and deserts all freshly homemade with quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible.
The Kings Head, Bildeston is ideally placed for walking and cycling, there are plenty of footpaths and quiet country lanes to explore and get lost on. Suffolk's many visitor attractions are close by, with the tourist hotspot villages of Lavenham and Kersey only a few miles away.
