When Bill retired out of the Navy he worked for a custom home company. After working with them he realized something wasn’t quite right about the company’s motive. They cared more about the money rather than the quality and services. Bill was loved at this company, but the company didn’t care enough to do the job right so that made for many upset customers. That’s when he realized the American Dream of owning your own home shouldn’t be this difficult, he wanted people to stop wasting money renting homes and to build something that fits their every need. In 1984 Bill opened HomeSource Custom Homes. At HomeSource Bill made his main goal very clear, he wanted to provide a high quality building service without the high dollar marked up price-tag. He was so confident in his work he put a 10 year warranty on the homes he had built, just as he suspected, not one claim was filed. Bill had provided quality homes, without breaking the clients’ bank. It had always been very important for Bill to have his children working with him, from starting them on job sites before they were out of high school. His son Joe Courtney has made Bill’s legacy and promises of HomeSource custom Homes live on
