This is a real gem in the kent countryside ,a sixteenth century building hosting a modern twist comprising a funky boutique hotel ,champagne and oyster bar, gourmet restaurant and stunning al fresco dining area .
Only a few miles from junction 8 off the M20 but set in beautiful but peaceful countryside. When you first arrive you can tell this is a special establishment ,with a large al fresco dining area encompassing a Moroccan tent complete with four poster bed , leather sofas and colourful silk interiors . a prefect place to chill on a Sunday afternoon while listening to Balearic music.
Adjacent is a courtyard with 8 individual styled bedrooms all with hot tub or Jacuzzi bathrooms . the jewel in the crown being the champagne & shoes suite . this must be the funkiest bedroom I've ever seen three large rooms all open plan with a four person hot tub ,huge round cow hide bed a 50 & 42 in tv's and lots of erotic art,a real party room.
On entering the main building the age of the property shines through a wealth of oak beams and typically low ceilings . the gourmet restaurant has a romantic and intimate feel while the brasserie host 2 bar areas , one of which is the champagne bar where they stock over 60 different brands one of the largest in the country .
It has an extensive menu specialising in seafood we tried the plateau rouge for 2 , it was an amazing array of fresh lobster,crab,scallops,king prawns,langoustines & smoked salmon which was a work of art in itself . it has a wide range of food to cater for all pockets even a champagne ladies lunch for £10 inc main course and a glass of bubbles. This is an absolute must whether in groups or with a special person its well worth the journey
