The Golden Chariot

Golden Chariot, the only luxury train connecting important tourist destinations of South India, has started operating from March 10, 2008. Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) operates the train and the hospitality aboard is handled by the renowned Mapple Group. The train runs across four different states – Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa, and the union territory of Pondicherry during its two exclusive journeys i.e. Splendour of the South and Pride of the South. The train operates from October to April every year, considering the suitable climatic conditions for exploring the charismatic landscape of South India. There are three types of occupancy – Single, Double and Triple, available on board Golden Chariot, the preferred most luxury train to explore South India.
