The resort is situated in the First Rubber Plantation of India; The Periyar Estate (earlier called the ‘Periyar Syndicate’), planted back in 1902 by the Britishers. The 500 acre plantation stretches on both sides of the road. Here one can see first-hand how rubber is tapped and processed into sheets. The resort is situated on the west banks of the Periyar River, on the east banks lies the Bird Sanctuary. The resort is encompassed by three hills on three sides, the complete landscape a complete treat to watch.
