Seefin Grove is a brand new development of five terraced houses located in the Village of Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry overlooking Seefin Mountain to the front and Rossbeigh Beach to the back. Numbers 4/5 which are Bord Failte 4 Star properties are available for rent and are elegantly furnished with solid wooden flooring throughout. These houses are three bedroomed with the master bedroom en-suite and also the main bathroom upstairs.
Downstairs consists of living room, fully equipped kitchen and utility room with downstairs toilet and enclosed secure back-garden and electric gates to the front.
House Description Upstairs
The master-bedroom with fully tiled ensuite and large shower has a double queen size sleigh bed, matching lockers, dressing table and wardrobes in mahoney colour and has a large walk-out balcony overlooking Rossbeigh Beach to the back of the house. The second bedroom overlooking Seefin Mountain is also a double room and has a queen size oak bed with matching dressing table, lockers and sliding mirror wardrobes. The third bedroom is a single room with the facility of a pull out extra single bed and pine dressing table overlooking the sea. All three bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The main bathroom upstairs is fully tiled with bath and electric shower overhead.
Downstairs Description
On entering the House the hall leads into the downstairs toilet, living room and kitchen area. The living room is spacious with solid oak flooring and open fire place. Large leather suite and satellite TV compliment this room which leads to the fully fitted Kitchen.
The kitchen overlooking the sea is well equipped with Bosch intergrated appliances e.g. Dishwasher, fridge-freezer, glass hob and self-cleaning oven. Patio doors open out to the small secure garden with garden furniture supplied which overlooks the sea. The utility room which leads off from the kitchen has all the laundry facilities which include a washing machine, drying machine and iron/ironing board. The utility room has a backdoor also. .
The heating system is oil with zoned heating with upstairs and downstairs controlled by the individual. The house has two smoke alarms with a fire extinguisher and fire blanket supplied. Bed-linen and towels are supplied. The entrance to Seefin Grove has electric gates thereby adding a secure area for children from the public road.
Local Facilities and Amenities
Glenbeigh which is situated by the Atlantic Ocean on the Ring of Kerry is a village with great pubs and restaurants.
On leaving Seefin Grove the Glenbeigh Hotel on your left hand side is a two-minute walk which is the oldest Hotel in Ireland. The public bar serves food between 12.30 and 9.00 PM daily with a mixture to suit everyone's taste buds. From traditional dishes like Irish Stew and Bacon & Cabbage to the chefs famous Sirloin Steaks. There is traditional music every Sunday night from 9.30 PM with locals performing the age old tradition of set dancing.
In the village of Glenbeigh which is only a two-minute walk on your right has the Towers Hotel, local shops and Ashes/Sullivan's Bar.
Rossbeigh Beach (A blue flag beach)
Rossbeigh Beach which is located 2 km from Glenbeigh Village is a beautiful stretch of 6 miles of golden sand known for safe swimming and water sports and lies under the shadow of Curra Hill. There is a new state of art childrens playground for 2008 to suit all ages.
Walking in Glenbeigh
The mountain scenery is magnificant and the circuit of hills from Seefin to Drung Hill is called the Glenbeigh Horseshoe. The circuit has a series of glacial corries and lakes which lie at the head of the Behy valley. Trout fishing in Coomasaharn Lake is one of the largest.
Golfing in Glenbeigh
For the golfer who is seeking a beautiful and tranquil environment Dooks Golf Course is the place. Located 4 km from Glenbeigh Village this 18 hole championship links course is set out on one of the three stretches of sand dunes at the head of Dingle Bay. In the immediate foreground are the sand dune peninsulas of Rossbeigh and Inch and just a few miles away the whitewashed houses of Cromane fishing village provide an eye catching distraction. A truly magical location for a stunning course.
Horse-Riding in Glenbeigh
Burkes's Horse Treking Centre provides horses and ponies for people of all ages and caters for novice riders. All of the treks go to Rossbeigh Beach.
PLACES TO VISIT
Skellig Rock
The magnificant Skellig Island lies 8 miles off the coast of Portmagee in South West Kerry. Rising from the sea, Skellig Michael is 218 meters above sea level. On the summit of the awe-inspiring rock you will find a remarkably well preserved 6th century monastic settlement. On the spectacular Small Skelligs 23,000 pairs of gannet nest on every available ledge making it the second largest gannet colony in the world. A visit to this major tourist attraction is a must and may well be the highlight of your holiday.
Dingle & Blasket Islands
There are so many things to see and do, or to explore the Dingle Peninsula from almost 2000 archaeological sites, to walking, to "Fungie" a bottlenosed dolphin who's been living at the mount of Dingle Harbour since 1984. A visit to the Blasket Islands of the Dingle Peninsula is a unique cultural experience. The majestic Blasket Islands is a walkers paradise and the ferry "Blasket Princess" departs from Dun Chaoin (15 km west of Dingle town).
Muckross House & Gardens
Muckross Houses & Gardens, Killarney (25 miles from Glenbeigh) are renowed for their rhododendron species, hybrids and azaleas. Surrounded by over 10,000 hectares of National Park which includes oak forests, mountain valleys and lakes. Ideal for walkers, cyclists or hill-walking enthusiasts.
Kerry Bog Village
The Kerry Bog Village museum located on the Ring of Kerry gives people an insight into how people lived in the 18th centuary. The only reconstructed pre-famine village in Europe and you can drop into the pub next door the Red Fox for an 'Irish Coffee'.
Sea Angling
The surf fishing beach at Rossbeigh Beach will find you Flatfish and Bass with the possibility of Ray in calm weather and the occasional marauding Tope also recorded every season.
Directions From Killarney/Glenbeigh:
Take the N70, Ring of Kerry route via Killorglin, Seefin Grove is located in the village on the right hand side just beside local Police Station.
From Caherciveen: Travelling from Caherciveen on the N70, drive through village and Seefin Grove is on your left hand side just past police station. Easy to recognise. Black gates with the letters SG on them.
Nearest Airport Kerry: Total Distance to Glenbeigh is 36KM
Start out at Kerry Airport. Turn left onto Farranfore - N22. Turn right onto the R561. Bear left onto the N70. Continue straight onto the N70 entering Milltown, Killorglin. From Killorglin take N70 ring of Kerry to Glenbeigh.
By Bus
Bus passes through Glenbeigh each day either going or coming from Killarney. Stop bus outside of houses. Check timetables at local Post Office or visit CIE Website
