O'Hanlon promised a bespoke orangery. He knocked down the kitchen wall and failed to adequately support the wall. The steels he used were sub standard and were placed on a crumbling pedestal. Severe cracks appeared in the exterior and internal walls. He covered his bad work with plasterboard and failed to call in Building Control to approve the installation. He laid a screed floor before any plumbing pipes had been installed. He plastered the walls before any electrics had been channelled. He employed an unqualified person to build a timberwork framework for a bathroom without providing measurements or plans. He ripped up floorboards without permission claiming they were rotten. He then burnt them in the patio garden while we were away for four days. He dumped unwanted patio tiles and cement bags in the front garden without permission. He covered the roof space with punctured tarpaulin which allowed rain to pour in and soak the plasterwork and floor. I sacked O'Hanlon and Lewes DC Building Control and an independent structural surveyor were called in who pronounced almost every aspect of O'Hanlon's work sub standard. O'Hanlon was paid for a lantern roof and bi fold doors which never appeared in a period of three months. It became obvious he had never ordered them. He refused to give receipts for money paid and became aggressive and abusive when challenged about this. I am seeking a County Court judgement against O'Hanlon.
