Meet Our Team (1)
Scott Newby
Managing Director
NewbyCore Consulting Limited was founded in 2017 by Scott Newby.
After graduating with a Masters degree in Business Management from Heriot-Watt University in 2003, Scott has since gained over 12 years experience of working for the UK’s biggest financial services company, Lloyds Banking Group, in a variety of managerial and senior roles.
Originally employed by Bank of Scotland, Scott played an integral role in ensuring one of the company’s key divisions was successfully merged with Lloyds Bank. An advocate of personal development, Scott was part of a select group of managers enrolled on to a leadership programme, devised to support the senior leaders and directors of the future.
In more recent times, Scott has held senior leadership positions within Scottish Widows, reponsible for over 100 colleagues. It is here that Scott really honed his skills and found his niche as an outstanding leader, coach and mentor; creating a department which was both high performing for the business and a great place to work and progress for colleagues. Scott is an Associate of the Institute of Consulting.

Scott has great versatility and can transfer his skill-set across all sectors. He is the founder of North Merchiston Vale Football Club, and is currently club chairman, having spent the last 8 years as manager.

Scott has also been a volunteer for a variety of charities and long time supporter of Breast Cancer Now.
This involvement with the Third Sector, combined with two years experience as a Relationship Manager for the Not For Profit sector, ensures Scott’s skills are perfect for this industry, in addition to the corporate world.
Last but not least, Scott is a family man. He is married with two young children, so when not working he is kept very busy!
