Alpha are the branding and marketing specialists. We work in partnership with our clients, building satisfying, sustained relationships and achieving great results. Whilst many of our clients are based in the UK, we work with an increasing number of overseas companies, particularly in the food and drink manufacturing sector, who aim to increase their sales either to the UK or to other countries around the world.

We also have our own brand - Beyond Dark Chocolate drops, which we are wholly responsible for creating. We are proud to say that it is doing very well, it is retailing in Sainsbury's, Holland & Barrett and Harrods and is also up for 'Coolest Brand of The Year Award' as well as being short listed for two awards in this years 'Grocer Gold Awards'. Owning and running our own brand has given us the experience of seeing the process that our clients go through in order to get their products to market. This is another service we help our clients with, Route to Market Strategy. We can help you with your presentation and pitch to the buyers. We can be involved as much or as little as is required in your project, if you need help in any other areas, such as sourcing food or packaging manufacturers please don't hesitate to ask.

Amy Smart
Client Services Manager
In my opinion, design & marketing is the best thing since sliced bread and I'm lucky enough to have a role where I can work on both. My main responsibility is to actively generate new custom by using my creativity for both Alpha and our clients. It's really exciting when a new customer is compelled to pick up the phone because of an advert, tweet or email that they've seen that I've designed. The power of social media in business is truly amazing and I must say I am a big fan, so with that in mind I bring a touch of social geek to Alpha as well... Oh and I also bring cakes!

I've been running Alpha since 1989 - the lifetime of some of our younger team members! I remember clearly how it felt to be new in business and I like to feel I can pass on some of my experience to those of our clients who are just starting out. It's good to share experiences with those who have been in business for many years too; the issues change as time goes on. My role is client liason, strategy, concept generation and copywriting but I also get a lot of satisfaction from mentoring young people within the business and watching them grow. Our best work over the years has resulted when clients give us a free rein - trust us and we'll excel.

I ‘ve worked in a number of different industries ranging from print, publishing, leisure software to the armed forces all of which bring different experiences that I believe are of benefit to our customers. My main responsibility as senior creative is to oversee all aspects of design and quality of the work we output and to be a mentor to the junior staff.
Kevin Nester

Every day and every project is different. I particularly enjoy my role as a route-to- market consultant within the food idustry. Helping clients increase their product distribution through new and existing channels (which is usually the bit the client doesn’t like doing!!) based on an agreed strategy. I love creating and developing winning brands that sell. I like building relationships with colleagues and clients. I love working with like minded people who’s business ethics and goals align with ours. It’s a fun business to be in.
