Le Mistral

Le Mistral Restaurant has carved a niche for itself on the West side of Houston with some of the finest French cuisine the greater Houston area has to offer. While customers may detect a hint of Provençal flair on the menu, authentically derived from Chef and Owner, David Denis' background, Le Mistral clearly represents all regions of France. Thanks to a steady growth in business and increasing customer requests, Le Mistral was transformed from a single dining room into a fine-dining establishment, with many offerings to suit individual diners' tastes and needs.

Le Mistral's offerings now boast an upscale bar with flat screen television; wine cellar off the main dining area that seats up to 12; a chef's table in the kitchen, which seats up to 10, for those with impeccable taste who would like a completely individualized meal; banquet room for special occasions and business functions; and a specialty foods store, called Foody's Gourmet & Bakery, which offers Le Mistral signature items, French specialty foods, cheese, wine, as well as cooking and wine classes.


A sampling of Le Mistral's dinner signature items include: Salad Mistral with Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette, Escargots, Seared Fois Gras, Veal and Spinach Ravioli, Rack of Lamb and Osso Bucco. The lunch menu also is extensive and includes an express lunch and business special daily for those with limited time. Desserts include French specialty items, such as Crème Brûlée, Chocolate Fondant, Crêpes, Tarte Tatin, as well as homemade ice cream and sorbet.

Le Mistral recently was honored as Best Food in Houston by Zagat 2012, 2011 and 2010; in Houston restaurant guide, Fearless Critic, as the top French restaurant in Houston in 2008; and received an Award of Excellence in 2009 from Wine Spectator magazine for its outstanding wine list.

Le Mistral is located at 1400 Eldridge Parkway between Briar Forest and Memorial and is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for lunch, and 5:30 - 10 p.m. for dinner; Friday 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for lunch, and 5:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. for dinner; Saturday 5:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for brunch, and 5 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. for dinner. The Le Mistral bar remains open throughout the day with a special, more casual menu. While reservations are recommended, they are not required. The dress code is business casual.
