Small Double Sided Leather Hanging Strop

The Leather Hanging Strop is used to maintain the cutting edge of a cut throat razor. Can also be used for maintaining chefs knives and quality woodworking tools.
This strop has two sides, one rough, one smooth. Use the rough side when aligning the razors edge (the fin), use the smooth side to remove the tiny burrs that form on the fin during shaving.
Made in Germany by Timor who make safety razor blades, safety razors, cut throat razors and other shaving tools.
We recommend you use a strop paste as this maintains the quality of the leather and prevents it from drying out and cracking. The paste will normally contain abrasives which help to maintain the razor's sharpness.

HOW TO USE
The main purpose of stropping is not to remove material, but rather to straighten up and align the microscopic teeth that are on the cutting edge of the blade.
A brand new or a restored cut throat razor supplied by Executive Shaving should not need honed for at least 9 months providing your stropping technique is good.
