Monel 400 Wire:
Monel 400 Wire is corrosion resisting and good resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions contributes to the wide application in marine and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions.

Features of Monel 400 Wire
1. Resistant to sea water, salt and caustic solutions
2. High strength.
3. Low corrosion rate in flowing brackish
4. Resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated.
5. Good Adaptability to wide range of temperature applications.

Monel 400 Wire is immune to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking in typical environments. It is resistant to most alkalis, salts, waters, food products, organic substances and atmospheric conditions at normal and elevated temperatures.

Monel K-500 Wire
Monel K500 Wire is one kind of the nickel-copper alloy Wire. It combines an excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 Wire with the added advantage of greater strength and hardness.

Features of Monel K-500 Wire:
1. Alloy K-500 Wire has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength than alloy 400.
2. Nickel alloy K-500 Wire has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking.
3. Monel K-500 Wire is resistant to a sour-gas environment.
4. The combination of very low corrosion rates in high-velocity sear water and high strength makes alloy K-500 Wire suitable for marine service.

Monel K-500 Wire's Manufacture's Advices:
This nickel alloy is spark resistant and non-magnetic to -200°F. However, it is possible to develop a magnetic layer on the surface of the material during processing. Pickling or bright dipping in acid can remove this magnetic film and restore the non-magnetic properties.
