Introduction
Zemek Engineering, based in Mackay, Queensland, services mining companies and heavy industry throughout Queensland and NSW. The company, which has operated in Mackay since 1975, supplies is the dragline rigging specialist and initiates and designs new products for the mining industry and refurbishes a wide range of items including buckets, dipper handles, shovel dippers, saddle blocks and shovel dipper doors.
Zemek Engineering has a breadth of expertise which is demonstrated through the range of fabrication work undertaken by employees who have many years of experience in general and heavy fabrication . All fabrication is produced onsite. Drafting, painting and certification are all part of the fabrication process which is part of the many mining services provided by the company.
Work safety is a priority and, as a result of workplace initiatives, Zemek Engineering won the 2012 Queensland Safe Work Awards for the best workplace health and safety practice in a small business.
