Introduction
Whether you are an adrenaline junkie, fighting the urge to dive outside the cage or just ticking down your bucket-list- White Shark Adventures will see that you have the most exciting, adrenaline boosted adventure of your life. White shark adventures are the only company that can offer you Shark Cage Diving with constant air supply inside the cage! It is their privilege to offer you an opportunity to dive and view these magnificent animals in a safe and professional environment.
What to expect on the day:
The guests arrive at least one hour before the launch departure (this is usually at 7:00 in the summer or 8:00 during winter months). You will be required to complete the necessary indemnity forms followed by breakfast. This is followed by a safety briefing with the tour guide after which the boat Nemo departs from the Harbour to look for sharks on a 20 minute boat trip to Shark Alley (in Winter) or a 10-15minute trip to the alternative viewing spot (in Summer) where most sharks hang out.
Nemo is manned by the Skipper and Dive Master, a tour guide, a shark handler and a videographer.
Nemo is equipped with sufficient diving equipment to accommodate all the guests on their cage drive and the dive master ensures that everyone is safe and comfortable with the experience. Nemo is also equipped with all the necessary safety gear as well as a life-boat large enough to accommodate all the guests should it become necessary.
Snacks including chips, fruit, bread-rolls and water are available for the duration of the trip. Divers can spend at least 20 minutes in the cage, unless shark sightings are really meager, when time in the cage will be limited to give everyone an opportunity to see the sharks from the cage. Nemo can only accommodate 20 people per trip, an advantage in the reduction of waiting time before and after dives.
When everyone is satisfied with their viewing and dives, Nemo returns to the Harbour and the Crew House for some lunch and a viewing of the video taking during the trip. This is also the time to purchase your copy before your departure.
Despite the 99.9% success rate, these are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, in the unlikely event that they do not find sharks, they will offer you a voucher for a free trip.
