Introduction
Section 468 IPC defines the offence of Forgery that has been committed with the intention of cheating a person. Any person who defrauds another intending to cheat and makes some advantage out of that is liable to punishment under the purview of IPC section 468. Punishment may include 7 years of imprisonment, or fine or both. Besides this, these are cognizable and non-bailable offences, triable by the Magistrate of the first class.">
