Introduction
The White Bear was built in the 15th and 16th century with a 1970's rear extension. The building is old and costly to maintain. We are a grade II Listed Building, in the Green Belt and in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. These designations comprise a host of planning and other restrictions which prevent us from modernising, expanding or developing the pub.
