Introduction
The Orchard is an impressive old country house offering Bed & Breakfast in Newcastle West, County Limerick.
In a rural setting, with panoramic views over the rolling countryside, The Orchard is a two story-high house, with an old world charm and a grand auld place for home baking, with a superb reputation for producing jams and breads.
Complimentary tea or coffee and some of my homemade Guinness Cake on arrival.
Car parking is free.
Wifi is free.
There’s a very pleasant garden area where you can have a stroll and admire the views.
There are five rooms at this Bed and Breakfast, each of them equipped with en suite facilities.
This Bed and Breakfast is a perfect example of Irish family life. We can speak Irish as well as English here.
Staying at The Orchard means that you are in an excellent location for seeing the best things that Limerick has to offer.
Head north and sample the enchanting town of Adare, where time has been suspended. Why not, cast your eyes over Limerick City and the River Shannon from King John’s Castle or the hidden gem of the Medieval town of Askeaton.
Drive south to Kerry where the spectacular Lakes of Killarney can be experienced or, cross the Shannon to visit the Cliffs of Moher.
Information on Irish life in general (agriculture, educational system, heritage, history and ancestry) can be discussed over piping hot cup of Barry’s tea.
