Introduction
Located within the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College and a stone's throw from the world's last tea clipper, the legendary Cutty Sark, The Old Brewery sits along side Discover Greenwich, a new cultural centre, which tells the story of Greenwich to the World Heritage Site visitors.
In addition to being a convivial place to dine, The Old Brewery is an experimental workshop. Here the brewers, including 2008 Brewer of the Year Alastair Hook, trial, tinker and ultimately create extraordinary quality, limited edition beers, many in a style unavailable anywhere else in the world.
Like the nearby River Thames, the atmosphere of The Old Brewery flows with time. Throughout the day the main hall functions as a buzzy and convivial cafe. By night, the room with its dramatic waves of suspended bottles is transformed into a vibrant restaurant. In the magnificent surroundings of this Grade II listed building, the menu of modern British food embraces its historic setting with the occasional nod to Britain's rich naval history.
Adjoining the main hall is a cosy and relaxed annex bar and tranquil landscaped courtyard offering an all day menu, as well as hand drawn Meantime beers in addition to an extensive menu of more than 50+ classic beer styles from around the world.
