Introduction
Owned by the Crean family for over 30 years, The Lobster Pot is one of the longest running family Restaurants in Ireland. Our major influences are drawn from early contributions at some of the bigger restaurant and hotel institutional favorites of Dublin. We have however developed a distinct style refined by a France accent that is quintessentially our own.
The Crean family has developed trusted relationships with local purveyors and suppliers spanning decades. Our menus depend on the very freshest of ingredients, and changes are made on a regular basis. We are passionate about sourcing ingredients that are local, sustainable, organic, and seasonal. We buy from a variety of purveyors that include smaller fish mongers, cheese makers, and area farmers.
When you browse through our menus you will see all the classics balanced by contemporary trends. We give due deference to the wonderful variety of fresh seafood caught around the Irish continental shelf and far beyond. We specialize in seafood dishes but we do offer the best cuts of Irish beef and meat dishes to satisfy all.
Freshness throughout is the key and we will assist your menu choice by presenting a fresh seafood and meat display tray to help answer any of your questions.
Watch as many of our signature dishes are prepared in the dining room and silver served to you. Have your grilled sole de-boned before you, fresh Dublin Bay king prawns sautéed in garlic butter and chardonnay, a roast duckling flambéed with Grand Marnier, a rack of lamb presented and carved, all complemented with choice legume sides. Why not crown off your dining experience with crêpes suzette flambéed and a fine dessert wine, or if sweet is not for you how about a selection of Irish cheeses and a Tawny port?
Longing for a classic dish served in the past? Not a problem, just let us know!
