These are the words of our Founder, Amanda Dicker, who established The Chapel in 2001, and they capture the philosophy that has resulted in The Chapel experience.
Amanda firmly believes that to give our best on behalf of others it’s vital we take time for ourselves. ‘In an evermore demanding and distracting world, it’s essential that we make the most of our often all too brief opportunities to rest and revitalise so that we can maintain our well-being.’
A visit to The Chapel is more than just an opportunity to have your hair styled. It is an opportunity to pause, recharge and reset.
This is neatly summed up in what we call R-E-S-T: Relaxation, Education, Service and Tailored.
In Amanda’s words, "My REST concept ensures that every guest receives the individual attention of their stylist from start to finish."
The salon has four areas for each stage of the visit and is designed to encourage a moment to pause and reflect.
Our guests are welcomed by their selected stylist and begin with what we prefer to see as a conversation as opposed to a consultation.
The stylist will stay with their guest throughout the entire length of their visit ensuring that they can give them their undivided attention.
As Amanda puts it,
“My aim is to let every guest have a moment to pause and put themselves first so that ultimately they can feel at their very best. At the end of the day, delivering an outstanding experience to our guests is my team’s top priority. A great haircut, well that’s just a bonus.â€
