Introduction
T-REX is not your roadside barbeque shack with a billowing smoker out back, but we recognize some of the world's best barbeque comes from such places. In fact, when we created T-REX we visited hundreds of barbeque joints across the United States from Kansas City to Nashville to Memphis to Raleigh to Houston. We even visited Clark's Outpost in Tioga, Texas and Wilber's Barbecue in Goldboro, North Carolina.
First and foremost, T-REX is about great barbeque. Our smokers are smokin' 24/7, putting out great baby back ribs, spareribs, long-cut short ribs, pulled pork and brisket. All our meats are hormone-free, raised humanely without antibiotics.
Also, we are a full-service restaurant and bar. Our expansive menu includes steaks, fried chicken, seafood, great salads, sandwiches, burgers, appetizers and more. Our produce is locally procured and organic whenever possible. Our full-bar is stocked to the ceiling with great selections of premium whiskeys, scotch, vodka and other liquors, plus draft and bottled beer and wines by the glass and by the bottle.
If you love sports, we are the best place in town to watch you favorite teams while enjoying delicious food and drinks. There are large screen high-definition TV's throughout, both on the main floor and the second floor.
T-REX is located at 10th Street & Gilman in a modern structure with plenty of open space, featuring a grand staircase to the second floor. Designed by Berkeley's own Kava Massih Architects with finishing touches by Kathy Farley, it provides a variety of comfortable seating areas on both floors including outdoor seating and a large, separate bar area.
Our formula is simple: Great Food + Great Drinks + Great Service + Great Venue = Hella Fun!
