Introduction
We have two narrowboats for hire for a relaxing British waterways holiday!
Gloria is 57ft (17.37m) & sleeps 2-4 people
Queenie is 50ft (15.45m) & sleeps 2 people
We are open all year round and keep the same price all year too.
We offer great flexibility in that you can hire our boats for any number of nights from whatever dates you want – subject to availability.
We have been collecting some great reviews on TripAdvisor you can see the link to these from our website.
If you are new to canal holidays no problem - we will teach you how to handle the boats, offer advice on what routes to take and we’ll make sure you feel happy and ready to go off on your own. (The Bridgewater canal has no locks).
A barge holiday aboard Gloria or Queenie can be as relaxing or as active as you choose. You will have good access to the Cheshire Ring, The Four Counties Ring, The Anderton Boat Lift, the Rochdale canal, the Leeds Liverpool canal, the Trent and Mersey and the Lancaster canal.

We also offer static houseboat hire on our lovely moorings at the Bridgewater Marina (9 miles from Manchester city centre & 14 miles from Manchester Airport) M28 1YB.

Star Narrowboat Holidays, is a small, family run, narrowboat hire company managed by Hester Cox (at the Bridgewater Marina and independent of the marina itself). We offer excellent quality and reasonably priced canal boat hire in the Northwest of England, UK. We feel proud to offer 2 lovely boats and a memorable experience to all who choose to stay aboard 'Gloria' and 'Queenie'.
We have been enjoying great success since we started in June 2012. In May (2014) we were presented on a travel show which was aired on French Canadian TV. We were featured in the August 2013 issue of Making Magazine (The Craft Institute) and the Summer 2013 edition of the Visit Salford Magazine.
