Introduction
Soccer the Right Technique†is a book about demonstrating and teaching the very basic soccer skills used in soccer {football} to children who are just starting to learn. It demonstrates the same style used by children in England and Europe to learn to perform specific basic moves and techniques, such as receiving and ball control, passing, shooting, heading, dribbling, turning, running with the ball under control, passing, and throwing the ball into play. You will find the instructional photographs and sketches showing various techniques in sequential order with easy to understand instructions on how to teach and perform only the very basic skills used in the game. There are many other skills that young players can master; however in this book the skills taught are what young players need to master first then move on to the more complex skills and techniques.

Tom Martin
Author
Tommy Martin is a fully qualified British football coach and author with over 35 years experience playing and coaching in many countries, such as England, Jersey, the U.S.A, Australia, and Thailand. He holds certified licences from the English Football Association, U.E.F.A. and the American Soccer Federation. He also holds a certificate in sports management and sports injuries and a degree in physical education.
He was a former midfield player and goal scoring striker. He was a successful skills coach in the U.S.A. for over 15 years who constantly developed young players from recreational league standard to classic league standard. Many players went on to win soccer scholarships in the U.S.A. and some even went on to play for professional clubs in Mexico, the U.S.A, and England.
In 1999 he was also involved in the Olympic soccer development program in Dallas, Texas, USA.
Tommy has been a football coach and physical education teacher at Assumption Samutprakarn school in Thailand for 9 years.
His football sayings book Spanking Goals and Toe Pokes: Football Sayings Explained was published in Hong Kong and his books are now being sold in many countries.
He is in contact with many football clubs in England and
is always on the look out for talented young Asian players who he can recommend for trials at these clubs.
