Introduction
Shaka Zulu, London's largest South African restaurant, opened its doors in August 2010 with a special royal blessing from the Zulu King, HRH Goodwill Zwelithini. Set over a groundbreaking 27,000 sq ft in The Stables Market, Camden this spectacular two floor restaurant, bar and club offers amazing food, drinks, live music, dancing and daytime family entertainment.
The lower floor of this stunning venue is complemented by a display of 20ft high warrior statues and the Mezzanine level offers a champagne bar and cocktail lounge overlooking the stunning braai restaurant. Carved wooden murals cover every inch of Shaka Zulu's walls and ceiling making it a beautiful space to host private events and parties.
The heart of the restaurant is where the 'Theatre of Food' comes alive! Our world class chefs stoke the fires creating a multitude of wondrous dishes from the best and freshest ingredients in our open plan kitchen.
This spectacular venue is set over two floors and boasts a fully-equipped kitchen on each level. With a total capacity of 850, the main A La Carte restaurant is located on the lower level featuring open flame grills offering diverse cuisine from all parts of South Africa and beyond.
Our Executive Head Chef, Stephen Boucher, has carefully designed and created a traditional menu showcasing the originality and flair of his homeland South African cuisine. And for the more adventurous diners who are looking for a true culinary experience of South Africa we also offer game meats such as Kudu, Ostrich, Springbok and Zebra all from Namibia.
Not forgetting our very special Feasting Menu presenting a variety of dishes for the discerning diner or our King Shaka Game Board and The Queen's Royal Board, each offering a selection of the finest meats and accompaniments.
The Shaka Zulu Lounge Bar stretches seductively over the mezzanine level of the venue offering guests panoramic views across both floors of this breathtaking venue making it the idea location for a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of champagne.
Guests can soak up the atmosphere and sample some casual dishes from our bar menu whilst enjoying our evening's entertainment. We also off the opportunity to book a booth in the bar area for the evening.
With an extensive list of classic cocktails with a twist, Champagnes, spirits, beers together with the UK's largest South African wine menu catering either by the glass or by the bottle, you can be sure to find the right drink for any occasion, budget or taste.
