Noble House Chinese Takeaway

I have not been here personally due to residing on the other side of the planet, but a bit of research has revealed that this place was formerly the Hong Kong Garden Chinese take-away made famous by the 1987 single by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
I can't speak for the food, but it would definitely be worth a visit for the social mediable moment.

The first time I ordered was fine, and was very pleased. Second time was a nightmare from start to finish really. Tried ringing to make a collection order and couldn't get through for over half an hour, went down there and found their phone off the hook, then I finally managed to order, the lady said 10 mins. Half hour later I was still waiting. At 7.50 something, the guy put a bag on the side from the kitchen. One man asked if it was his and the woman said no, well I sat there looking at the bag until 8.06 when she called my number and gave me the bag I'd been looking at for nearly 10 mins! I told them exactly what I thought of them and she tried telling me it was a different bag. Bloody liars! N there was no offer of partial refund or anything. I would've put up more of a fuss if I wasn't with my son and I wasn't starving. I won't be going there again which is a shame as the food is quite nice.

I think the star ratings say it all. You get what you pay for, but in this place the wait can be very long. I'm told 20 minutes and given ticket Nr.19. So I hear calls for tickets Nrs. 22 and 26 before my meal comes up. ? That will be a 45 minute wait.

By now I'm starving hungry. Despite that, most of my meal gets binned.

With luck, I don't think I will ever be hungry enough to go back.

I always find the people at Noble House amenable, and courteous. The food is on par with any other Chinese takeaway Ive visited.

It was a really awful experience. The food is below standard as if it was made from food scraps or left overs. We ordered salt and pepper squid, chicken with cashew, beef in Szechuan sauce and special fried rice. The squid was rubbery and lack any salt, garlic or pepper. The chicken with cashew was covered in some red sauce with just roughly chopped onions and chicken pieces. The beef dish was poor with minimal ingredients and watered down sauce. There was nothing special about the special fried rice. It had one pea, a couple of tiny prawns, BBQ pork and chicken. It feels like I have been robbed when they think they could get away with dishing out rubbish food. Finally, to top it all off the delivery guy was going to keep our two pounds change! I would never use this Chinese takeaway.

My wife found a pubic hair in her beef chow mien, when we phoned up the women was rude and offered for me to come to shop and she would change, so I have to bring back their infested food!

I ordered today, won ton soup, a quater of duck, both for my first course. The other dishes I placed into the oven to keep warm which were chicken chow mein and king prawn in oyster sauce. The first course was fine but when I open the container for the king prawn in oyster sauce it wasn't what I ordered. The dish sent was king prawn in spicy garlic sauce. When I phoned to complain a very rude lady told me to return what I had ordered and they would give me king prawn in oyster sauce. I must say I was completely gobsmacked that firstly they had sent out the wrong dish and secondly I was having to prove this by sending the wrong dish back. How sad they have now lost my business after being a loyal long customer, I still can't believe I had to prove I was telling the truth and for that aqusation I will never order there again.... Food is almost always good quality.
Occasionally portions can be undersized.
Frequently long waits for food to arrive.
Most annoying is the insistence on taking telephone orders while there are customers waiting in the shop!
