At Gikas we have been painting and restoring older homes in Montclair and surrounding towns since the ea980’s. We recommend you should have exterior painting for your home every five to seven years. The wear from the sun and rain exposure and ultimately will take its toll on your home. The most obvious sign is when you can brush your hand along the siding or trim and you have a chalk residue in your hand. At that point, the house is unprotected. We have painted hundreds of home exteriors in New Jersey and our pictures tell the whole story.
