Introduction
LCTaylor's team of reputable, experienced Licensed Insolvency Trustees helps you get out of debt - and stay there. We offer a full array of debt solutions including consumer proposals, credit counselling, and bankruptcy.
Personal bankruptcy - LCTaylor helps debtors file Assignments in Bankruptcy. With this debt solution, debtors assign some of their assets to our Licensed Insolvency Trustees for the general benefit of the creditors. Most assets – household furnishings, tools of the trade - are exempt from seizure. Our Trustees will define more precisely which assets are exempt and how the exemptions apply to your situation.
Consumer proposal - We develop a formal offer you can afford and present it to your creditors, where you agree to pay part or all of your debt over a specific period of time. You make set payments to our Licensed Insolvency Trustee who then distribute the money to your creditors until the balance of the debt is erased.
Debt counselling - As qualified financial counsellors, we assist with money management, budgeting and long-term planning. These tools can be helpful in turning around small money troubles. They are also critical in the reestablishment of your financial well-being, after your debt problem has been solved.
Receiverships - When a company or corporation is having financial difficulty, it is sometimes necessary to place that company into a Receivership. Receiverships are usually initiated by a secured creditor, but the court system can also initiate them with an application to do so by a secured creditor. Our Trustees are licensed to act as Receivers to take possession of some or all of the inventory, accounts receivable or other property. The LIT exercises any control that the court considers advisable over that property and over the insolvent person’s or bankrupt’s business.
