Introduction
Harvest Naples is a Vertical Church and part of the movement of churches that began at Harvest Bible Chapel Chicago, led and founded by Pastor James MacDonald in 1988. With over 150 churches planted in over 19 countries since 2000, Harvest Naples is part of an international church planting movement who’s distinctives and history is associated with Pastor James’ passionate vision, philosophy of ministry and Walk in the Word preaching ministry.
Following a time of training at Harvest Chicago in 2015, and with the coaching guidance of Harvest Bible Church North Phoenix, God called Senior Pastor John Secrest and his family to plant a vertical church in Naples, FL. After months of building and preparing a committed core group, Harvest Bible Chapel Naples launched its first worship service on November 19th, 2016 at the Greater Naples YMCA. In March 2017 Pastor Travis Doucette began leading worship at Harvest Naples before officially joining the staff on August 13, 2017 as Pastor of Worship and Leadership Development.

John Secrest
Senior Pastor
John came to a personal saving faith in Jesus as a junior at the University of Kansas through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. For the past 30 years John has served in a variety of pastoral ministries.
After a season on Staff with Campus Crusade at the University of Illinois he went on to earn an MDiv at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America. After 7 years as an associate pastor at the Arlington Heights, IL EFC (now called The Orchard) John and Jessica pioneered a work of launching a church planting movement in Budapest, Hungary.
In 2003 they returned from the mission field to Knoxville, TN where John owned and operated a real estate development company and was a residential general contractor. For 6 years John served as an associate pastor at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California.
In the fall of 2015, the Secrests attended the Harvest Training Center in Elgin, IL for the purpose of planting a Harvest Bible Chapel and extending the movement of Harvest Bible Fellowship in SW Florida. They moved to Naples in December 2015.
John & Jessica have been married for 28 years and they have three children, Hunter (23), Emma (20), and Sophia (16).

Travis Doucette
Worship and Leadership Development Pastor
Travis grew up in Barrie, Ontario Canada where he attended Harvest Bible Chapel Barrie beginning in 2001. After serving on staff at Harvest Bible Chapel’s in Barrie, Oakville and North York, he moved to Lynchburg, Virginia where he continued studies at Liberty University’s School of Music before joining the teaching staff there.
During his tenure at Liberty Travis helped to design the Songwriting program, travelled for four years in a worship band called “Exodusâ€, led and trained traveling worship teams and worked for Red Tie Music Publishing. In 2009, Travis’ song, “God of the Ages†became a number one hit on Christian billboard and later, the number two song of the year on the Christian Music Weekly’s inspirational chart.
Returning to Canada in 2012, Travis completed a Doctor of Ministry degree before establishing Retrobox Media Transfers as a new business venture. In 2016 Travis began teaching Communication, General Education and Research Analysis courses at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, working specifically with disadvantaged and at-risk students.
In 2016 he created Barrie Ontario’s first online museum, the Barrie Historical Archive before receiving the call to serve at Harvest Bible Chapel Naples. After visiting initially in March 2017, Travis officially took the role of Associate Pastor of Worship and Leadership Development at Harvest Naples on August 13, 2017.
A passionate worship leader, producer and administrator, Travis is elated to serve in His calling and is thankful to be a part of what God is doing in and through Harvest Bible Chapel in Southwest Florida.
