Jim Kenny the owner of ClassicAntiqueboats has had the honor of owning and restoring many beautiful classic and antique boats boats in his life..
We search constantly for boats that are worthy, boats that are beautiful, serving different ideals and purposes. We spend countless hours searching for just the right boats throughout the United States and Canada. We look for handmade mahogany classic and antique boats of various makes and models including Chris Craft, Garwood, Greavette, Century, Fay & Bowen and many more manufacturers. Several different model types are sought for, Double Cockpit, Triple Cockpit, Runabouts, Speedsters, Racing Runabouts, Utility, and Sea Skiffs and more.
After locating possible candidates for purchase, we travel to the location of the boat doing a thorough inspection and examination of the candidate boat. If the boat meets our requirements we either haul the boat or hire a transport company to deliver the boat to our facilities.
Immediately upon arrival we remove the upholstry, remove the floor, take the boat off of the trailer onto jack stands, continuing our inspection. If boards need replaced, we replace boards, if the boat needs completely stripped, restained and revarnished then we do that. We have the engine, transmission, lights, wiring and gauges looked at and replaced/rebuilt as needed. We examine the upholstry and refurbish or replace as neede
We try to produce/restore these beautiful boats to a vessel that will start and run, shine in the sun, be a good solid reasonable investment at a reasonable price.
All of our boats are on trailers that match the boat in size and capacity.
