Introduction
Brook Laboratory Consultancy offers training and consultancy to analytical chemistry laboratories.
Training packages for basic laboratory techniques, quality, gas and liquid chromatography are offered in your own laboratory avoiding the need for delegates to travel.
A selection of consultancy packages are offered. A typical consultancy period will commence with one of our fixed price packages and continue according to the recommendations arising from the report provided at the end of this package. We also offer Bronze, Silver and Gold contract consultancy packages to provide support for small laboratories (up to 10 employees) who need support on a "service contract" type basis.
Method development as either a "hands-on" or supervisory capacity is offered - for simpler methods we are able to offer the supervisory pathway as a "Planned pricing" package. Because of the widely varying requirements of validation prices for this service can only be provided as an individual quotation.
Other consultancy, such as laboratory coaching and turnaround is also available.

Harry Knappett
Laboratory Consultant
Harry has over 35 years experience of analytical chemistry, training, supervision and quality. For most of this time he has worked in the areas of food and drug analysis specialising in gas and liquid chromatography. Having to carry out the analysis, interpret the results and present his results in court has given him a passion for ensuring that analytical methods are based on sound, validated and defensible analytical chemistry without making life impossible for the analyst.
​​In addition he has experience of operating within a ISO 17025 type quality system, the development and validation of methods, quality audit and staff training up to and including graduate level.
