Blackthorn Cottage in County Antrim, Northern Ireland is a 200-year-old farmhouse that is a lovely place to stay for a self-catering holiday. It is near the beautiful Glens of Antrim but also very accessible to Belfast. It sleeps two people - or a third person on a sofa bed - and is spacious and comfortable. It is heated by a woodburning stove and solar panels. It is in a clachan, or hamlet, of houses and farms two miles from the village of Broughshane. The cottage sits in its own tree-lined garden. While the owners live close by and are on hand to ensure that you have everything that you need to enjoy your holiday, the cottage is totally self-contained and it offers privacy and peace and quiet. The cottage has a large sitting room, a small reading room, a well-equipped kitchen and utility room, and a comfortable bedroom. Garden furniture and a barbeque are supplied.
