Introduction
Baby Blessings is a Christian based child development Preschool and Playgroup, set in beautiful grounds, with large grassed play areas, and based in the heart of Lonehill. When we first opened our doors in 2005, it was as a small and intimate Playgroup, focusing only on the younger children. As time went by, and we grew from strength to strength, parents requested that their children remain with us for a longer period. Whilst still maintaining this intimate “First steps from home†beginners Playgroup, we have since expanded to include our senior preschool classes.
Our small classes accommodate children between the ages of 12 months and 5 years, ensuring that each child receives the individual attention that he / she needs, to thrive and to grow in these formative years. Our warm and nurturing educational environment allows our children to grow in skills and confidence, in the care of our wonderful team of experienced and professional Teachers.
We also include Parent/Teacher meetings and various other activities throughout the year. With Christian principles and values, we trust and believe that each child that enters our gates will be truly blessed.

Anne and Chantal, a mother and daughter team, are the proud owners of Baby Blessings, a fully registered, Christian based Preschool and Playgroup in Lonehill near Fourways, where we strongly believe that “Children are precious, a gift from aboveâ€.

My name is Benita, and I am the class teacher for the 2 – 3 year old children here at Baby Blessings Preschool and Playgroup. Graduating from Bella Alexandra Nursing College with a Diploma†in General Nursing and Midwifery, provided me with extensive experience in both the Private and Government Hospitals on a senior level. I then went on to study and obtained a Diploma in Community Nursing at Wits University. This was followed by a Degree in Administration and Education at UNISA.
After the birth of my two children, I opened up my own Parent and Child Centre and Nursery School, specialising in antenatal, and postnatal classes, a well baby clinic, as well as a crèche for 0 – 3 year old children. In addition to the existing children at the school, I also had the opportunity of working with several special needs children, referred by paediatricians in the area.
Eight years later, I retired to spend more time with my children, and in 2010, I joined Baby Blessings early childhood education preschool, Johannesburg.
After a wonderful and rewarding 35 years of working with babies and children, I continue to embrace my passion for educating the holistic child, focusing on the social, emotional, physical and cognitive aspects of each child.
