Introduction
Set in a large tropical fruit garden just 5 city blocks from the turquoise Caribbean ocean Cozumel is famous for, Amigos Hostel Cozumel has 2 large dorm rooms each for max of 8 people. Each dorm room has private BR with H/C water shower, separate second sink outside the bath, offers during May to October from 10 pm to 8 am, AC at night. Ceiling fans and standing fans offer nice refreshing breezes all times. Bed sheets, pillows and blankets provided free of charge. Toilet paper and liquid shower gel provided. Bath towels available for rental. Apart from the dorm rooms, Amigos has one private room with private bathroom, complete kitchenette, and AC for 3 people max in 3 single beds. The communal palapa has a complete kitchen for all your cooking and eating needs, a TV with US Dish channels, and FREE Wi Fi service. Large pool table, family board games, darts, croquet set up, and many DVD/VHS family movies available free of charge for your entertainment. Tropical garden with hammocks for your relaxation! The large swimming pool is refreshing after a day snorkeling or diving. Scuba diving and snorkeling trips arranged. Snorkel gear available at the hostel for rental. Welcome briefing or “orientation” to Cozumel given by well informed staff makes time here on Cozumel at Amigo’s a great experience. All sorts of vehicle rentals arranged, from bicycles to mopeds to old convertible VW bug! Separate smoking area available in the large garden. New Feb 2014 covered smoking area with BBQ grill, additional hot water shower for dorm clients ( now 3 showers for the 16 dorm clients) and new bathroom near pool deck. Communal kitchen has blender, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, microwave, juicer machine, can opener, electric fry pan and all utensils for cooking and eating like a king! Dish washing soap provided. Amigos is slowly changing to a 'flash packers hostel' as each dorm has 10-12 power outlets to charge your gadgets, plus new summer 2014 are portable clip on reading lamps you can use free of charge, small book exchange, arrangement of snorkel trips too.

with over 25 yrs in the hospitality industry in all areas of service, Kathy offers her guests a complete Cozumel orientation at the start of their stay to assure that all enjoy this tropical Caribbean treasure she has called home since mid 80s. Her years of experience and pride in her home town are evident and this is a real plus for the traveler just stopping in for a short visit. Kathy knows not only Cozumel but the entire region as an avid traveler she has been to several places in Mexico and the region and graciously shares tips to who ever asks.
