Benjamin Lake studied ‘Voice’ at Trinity College of Music in London. His successes led him to being offered a scholarship enabling a second year of study. There under his singing teacher - John Noble, he worked on his craft.
It was at Trinity, that he made his opera debut in the world staged premier of Goldschmidt’s ‘Beatrice Cenci’. As the ‘lead tenor’ role of Orsino, he received much critical acclaim in the national press. His success continued with his second Opera, Poulenc’s - ‘Dialogue of the Carmelites’.

James has played keyboards since he was 8 years old, so a long time now! He studied music at school and college, but didn’t complete his college course at A Level as he was offered a job as a musician on cruise ships. He figured that personal experience was an opportunity not to be missed and that he could catch up on the academic side at his convenience.

He have been fortunate enough to travel the world as a professional musician, playing solo, in a duo and in vairous bands. Being able to do what he loves, having the advantage of being paid and the experience of travelling the world, meeting other musicians and seeing other cultures from 17 years old was a fantastic experience

A professional drummer, author, and drum teacher for over 18 years, Matt has masses of experience that he passes on to each tutor. He has taught 1-2-1 privately, in schools, and music colleges, as well as giving drum workshops to large groups in schools, music colleges, and corporate events for several years.

He has a 1st CLass BA (Hons) in Music, has created his own syllabus, and created the My Drum Lessons syllabus as well. His studio is well equipped with acoustic and electronic drums, as well as recording facilities so each student can record themselves to build a library of their own recorded playing. He also plays keyboards so jam sessions often occur at lessons.

Simon has played guitar for 20 years and has played with session players from some of the biggest names in rock and blues. He is CRB registered to teach children, a Gold member of ‘My Guitar Lessons’ franchise, a Musicians Union member, an RGT member and has public liability insurance.
