Description:
An exciting opportunity to help develop the Peterborough branch of a new Brokerage opened by a longstanding and successful financial services business. The role will include numerous opportunities for personal development and will primarily involve providing FCA Regulated Advice to consumers for Mortgages & Insurance. Opportunities to transact business will come from a contracted source of quality leads and a significant database of non-regulated brokers. There are also opportunities for landlord referrals through our landlord services business, Brilliant Landlords. This will also be supplemented by FCA authorised brokers eg IFA’s who choose not to advise on mortgages for their clients.
Support:
There will be support in the following areas:
- Lead generation )as above)
- Marketing; including Email marketing
- IT & Telephony services (including potential access to call centre and dialler software)
- Compliance
- Providers & Products, including Lender relationships which would include the negotiation to gain access to exclusive or semi- exclusive products or even lenders who operate restrictive broker panels.
Compliance:
The candidate will report to a senior adviser or the Managing Director (based in the Swansea branch) as well as any supervising Directors. The candidate will undergo regulatory supervision in the early stages and will need to spend 1-2 weeks in Swansea during this phase.
Requirements:
Qualified financial adviser with a minimum of a CMAP Qualification, equivalent or higher. No adverse disciplinary or credit record.
Candidates must be professional and highly motivated to succeed.
Other:
Hours of work will need to be flexible to cope with the demands of clients who may require appointments outside typical working hours. The candidate must be prepared to work the hours as dictated by the business and its clients.
20 days holiday p.a. plus bank holidays.

The business has a unique chance to build and develop quickly thanks to the following opportunities:
(1) Landlords
An existing database of 10,000 Registered Customers and tens of thousands of Landlords to market our services to. Without an adviser and without serious promotion we already refer 10 insurance deals per month; these would be referred to the employee. Significant opportunities exist within this market for mortgages too. Even selling insurance to only 10% of landlords; assuming they have an average of rental 2.5 properties each, would equate to 2,500 Landlord Insurance products a year and 1,000 residential Household products. Mortgage and re-mortgage opportunities are very high as are protection sales opportunities.
(2) Lettings Agents
An existing Registered Client Base of over 400 independent Lettings Agents
A database of thousands of lettings agents in the UK
Opportunities for volume sales of insurance and mortgages here.
(3) Introducers
We have hundreds of existing customers that are non-regulated introducers and FCA Authorised brokers (that choose not to advise on mortgages) and thousands more we market to. Opportunities for volume sales of mortgages.
All of this is workable thanks to our existing marketing infrastructure and other support previously mentioned.
B) Your Development: Remuneration and Professional Development Opportunities
This role has a huge amount of potential and the selected candidate will be looking to make the most of the opportunity and the income and development opportunity it presents. The only limit to time between phases is the speed at which the candidate makes a success of the project and any regulatory constraints (more relevant in Phase I).
