Introduction
ONE I.S. is a British registered and Philippine Accredited Kindergarten and Elementary Private School. Situated on Negros Oriental in Dauin, close to Dumaguete City, the school can be found adjacent to Atmosphere Resorts and Spa.
ONE I.S. was built to fulfill the need for a quality international school, offering provision to every family who wishes to invest in their child's education. Opened in 2010, the school has expanded with its attending children, taking them through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and providing new facilities to support their progression to Key Stage 1 and 2 (KS1 and 2). Continued expansion is planned, with provision designed to accommodate children to the end of their primary education.
The British Curriculum was chosen for ONE I.S. due to its emphasis on the development of the whole student as well as an understanding of a child's learning needs. It supports the school's ethos that each child has the right to be viewed as a unique individual with their own distinctive interests, talents and skills. Pedagogy focuses on practical learning and encourages lesson delivery supporting various styles of knowledge acquisition. When this is considered alongside the continuity and transferability offered by a British education and British qualifications around the world, we felt this offered our students the best opportunities for their future.

Jenny Hoggard
Head Teacher
For many years I worked in England, firstly managing a Preschool which was judged as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (now Ofqual) and then as a Team Leader supporting children with various disabilities in the local community. Three years ago, I decided to extend my horizons and joined a new project which involved building and then running a school in the Philippines. This has been a challenging process but one which I have given my heart and soul to. ONE International is now a UK recognised and Philippine accredited Elementary school, taking pupils from the ages of 3-7yrs and offering them a high quality education throughout their formative years.

After gaining my BA(Hons) in Early Years and Special Needs (Dual Award) and following 20 years of experience working in the UK in the Early Years sector, I was invited to join my colleague Jenny in her new venture with ONE International. My role here is as the EYFS Leader and as such, I am responsible for our Sea Stars and Star Gazer classes covering 3-5yr olds. The children and our facilities are amazing and to say I love my job would be an understatement!
