Vintage Gillette 1921-1928 Mayfair DeLuxe

This incredibly rare Gillette Mayfair DeLuxe comes complete with its original case, packaging and instructions.
What makes this razor set extra special is the fact the original instructions are still in outstanding condition, as if they were printed yesterday! They provide information on how to load the blade properly and how to use the razor to get the best shave.

PRODUCT DETAILS
The razor dates back to between 1921 and 1928, and unusually it was made in England. The open-comb razor is made from gold plated brass, as with the other DeLuxe sets from Gillette, which included the Empire DeLuxe.
The inner packaging has seen better days, but it is at least 86 years old remember. The outer box has not fared very well either, in fact it's falling apart in places.
It shows the original price of the razor on the outer packaging and depicts an image of King Gillette, the inventor of the safety razor design we learned to love, and on the bottom, a warning to customers to only use Gillette blades.
The razor is in good condition, but the handle has a tiny hairline crack which is very typical of hollow handle vintage Gillette razors, almost expected in fact. The crack will in no way affect the shaving capability of this wonderful razor.
