Vintage Boxed 1970 Gillette Techmatic

This Vintage Gillette Techmatic Safety Razor comes complete with its original plastic case, printed instructions and original outer cardboard packaging.
Apart from the outer cardboard packaging, everything else is in very good condition indeed. The blade is intact. The eject button and the lever that moves the strip both work perfectly.

The plastic box is in A1 condition - no scratches. The outer cardboard box has not fared well, it's torn and scratched.
In 1965, Gillette introduced the Techmatic razor which utilised a cartridge with a steel strip that could be wound forward to expose a fresh section of new blade.
These razors were used during the NASA Space Program of the 1960s-1970s due to the lack of an exposed blade. The inside of the head is stamped 'MADE IN USAP 2' - 'P' tells us the razor was made in 1970, '2' tells us the razor was made in quarter 2 of that year.
HOW TO USE
Ensure the face is well lubricated using a pre shave treatment and a shaving soap, cream or gel.
Shave with the razor at a 30° angle to your face.
Stretch your skin as you shave ensuring the area you are shaving is pulled tight.
We recommend that you shave twice with the grain and once against the grain.
