This German made, Timor Leather and Canvas Hanging Strop is made from quality leather and is used for stropping prior to shaving.
Use the canvas side for coarse edge alignment stropping (with or without white paste) then the leather side for fine edge alignment stropping before you shave.
The leather side may be used with or without non abrasive paste (yellow Dovo paste for example); this maintains the quality of the leather and prevents it from drying out.
Useful also for maintaining the cutting edge on knives and wood working tools.

This Timor strop comes with a metal swivelling loop for hanging and a padded handle for extra comfort and a firm grip while stropping.
HOW TO USE
The purpose of stropping is not to remove material, but rather to straighten up and align the microscopic teeth that are on the cutting edge of the blade.
A brand new or a restored cut throat razor supplied by Executive Shaving should not need stropped/honed for at least 9 months. However, please read up on stropping in our Shavepedia.
