This small Canadian Natural Stone Hone is ideal for use at home, workshop, salon and for travel.
This sharpening stone is fast cutting, use with thin clear oil; even when used dry it will produce a sharp cutting edge.
Honing stones are used for honing (sharpening) the edge of a blade when it dulls.
We do not recommend that you use this stone for honing cut throat razors. A cut throat razor requires a finer grit stone of at least 5,000 grit.

HOW TO USE
You should thoroughly soak the honing stone in water prior to honing and frequently re-soak during the honing process.
A brand new or a restored cut throat razor supplied by Executive Shaving should not need stropped/honed for at least 9 months. However, please read up on stropping in our Shavepedia.
