Silver Keepsake Ring, Prints & Name

This is a fine silver ring made to your ring size and specifications with hand and/or foot prints or fingerprints of your loved ones. We will also inscribe a name or short message (about 15-20 characters max) around the inside of the band.
We provide a detailed order form for returning with your prints to help you specify just how you'd like your ring made.
Sizing & Resizing
We will send an easy-to-use ring sizing guage with your print-taking kits upon receipt of your order. If you are unsure about which ring size to order, we suggest to start smaller as it is preferable to slightly stretch a ring (max two sizes up) than to cut it for resizing. We are happy to resize your ring at least once without charge within 14 days of receipt your order.
We can make your ring band to any width, but we suggest 6mm minimum to fit handprints with enough detail. The ring shown above was 7mm and ring size J with alternating hand and foot prints around the band.
Thickness of the band needs to be about 1½mm becaues the print indentations can be around half that depth on the outer side and lettering inside is about ½mm deep. Fingerprint rings can be made slightly thinner if preferred, as can rings without lettering inside the band.
Inkless Print-Taking
On receiving your order we send two inkless print-taking kits in the post. Our inkless kits comprise one wipe and two A5 coated papers for each set of prints, just tell us how many you need (we send two sets by default for rings).
The wipes and paper are made by Nekoosa and are used every day in the US in hundreds of hospitals to take the footprints of newborn babies. They are also safe to use for taking paw prints from pets.
As part of your kit you will receive an instruction card and prepaid return envelope. You may also scan or photograph prints for return by email as detailed in the instructions.
Hand-Made Jewellery
To be clear about what you should expect, these items are made without machinery, using hand tools and mostly hand polishing. This is common for similar products offered by other vendors and is considered a part of the personalised charm of the product. We aim to achieve something close to a mirror finish on the outside of the ring, but there may be some slight irregularities in the surface and other small imperfections.
Packaging & Shipping
During this introductory period, our standard packaging for rings will be an unbranded, polished black wood ring box as shown in the images above.
We guarantee that your order will be made and dispatched to you within two weeks of receiving the final prints, although we generally aim for a one week turnaround. An express service is available, please contact us for details.
Postage using Royal Mail Special Delivery (fully insured) is included in the price during the introductory period, just select the free shipping option during checkout.
