Silk Square Scarf Gift Boxed Blue

Beautiful and generously sized scarf measuring approximately 33x33ins. or 84x84cm. is made from silk georgette which is a special weave for silk which has a mat look and is very soft and flowing and does not slip like some silk. The design was applied using batik and the item was hand dyed. Batik is a way of using wax to stop the dye getting on the fabric and when done repeatedly you can add more and more colours. The edges were hand rolled and stitched by me. All of the work from design to finished product was carried out in my studio which is part of my home in York, England. I make everything one at a time so you can be sure that if you buy a scarf there will not be another one like it.
