Ohishi 3000/8000 Grit Japanese Waterstone

Made in Japan by Ohishi, this stone has 3000 grit on one side and 8000 on the flip side.
This stone will cut quickly, it does not need soaking prior to use but it will benefit from being sprinkled with water before use.
The 3000/8000 Combination Grit stones will both maintain and refine a basic working edge, and apply the polished razor-sharp finished edge.

At 75mm wide and 125mm long this stone is the ideal sharpening system for precision woodworking tools, fine cutlery, and straight razors.
HOW TO USE
Start off with the 3000 grit side and finish off on the 8000 grit face.
A brand new or a restored cut throat razor supplied by Executive Shaving should not need stropped/honed for at least 9 months. However, please read up on stropping in our Shavepedia.
