How much does it cost to sell on Lacartes?
Every time your Lacartes Store generates a successful sale, the Stripe Fee and Lacartes Fee will be deducted from the customer’s payment automatically so you do not need to worry about paying any bills manually.
Stripe Fees – 2.9% + $0.30
Stripe charges a small fee for processing the payment. The fee is approximately 2.9% +$0.30 the last time we checked. This may change without our knowledge so we recommend checking their website:
Lacartes Fees – From just 5%
We want to minimize your risks when selling on Lacartes Marketplace. That’s why we made it completely free to list an item. You pay a modest commission only when you’ve made a successful sale. The commission is calculated as a percentage of the total value of the sale. The exact percentage will vary depending on whether your product listing has any upgrade options.
The fees are listed below:
• Basic Selling Fee: 5%
• Premium Listing Upgrade: +5%
• Additional Search Keywords: +0.5% per extra keyword
• Additional Product Categories: +1% per extra product category
Example 1: Standard Listing
You’ve created a standard listing and haven’t added any upgrade options, the commission will be just 5% of the total value of your order.
Example 2: Premium Listing
You decided to upgrade to Premium Listing to generate extra visibility and exposure but haven’t added any additional keywords or categories, the commission will be 10% of the total value of your order. It is calculated as 5% (Basic Selling Fee) + 5% (Premium Listing Upgrade) = 10%.
Example 3: Extra Keywords & Categories
You decided to add 3 extra keywords and 1 extra product category to your Premium Listing to boost visibility and exposure even further, the commission will be 12.5% of the total value of your order. It is calculated as 5% (Basic Selling Fee) + 5% (Premium Listing Upgrade) + 1.5% (3x extra keywords) + 1% (1x extra product category) = 12.5%.
