Introduction
Zebra Connections is a telephone answering and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company.
Our client portfolio numbers some 500, right across the business spectrum - from plumbers and roofers to solicitors and surgeons.
We provide our services to clients all over the world, in countries as diverse as Canada and Pakistan.
80% of our clients are made up of small enterprises with 1 to 5 staff, often sole traders who are missing business opportunities by not being able to answer their phone. Business owners who wish to grow recognise the benefit of our service by allowing Zebra to take their calls while they concentrate on developing their business.
Many of our clients have been with us for years, often increasing their turnover and profits without the necessity for employing staff and moving into new offices.
The remaining 20% of our customer base comprises larger companies with several hundred or several thousand employees. These clients make use of our niche services, such as:
1. 24/7 sickness absence lines
2. Overflow virtual switchboards
3. Out of hours emergency cover
4. Supplier and order despatch liaison lines
5. Live chat management

Alan Hopgood
Managing Director
My career has been just as varied as the rest of the staff at Zebra. I joined the RAF straight from the school and after completing my period of service I took a degree in Law at Cardiff University. However, I decided not to practise law and after a number of roles, including teaching business English to bankers in Poland, I founded this business in Westcliff-on-Sea in 2005 before moving the operation to Harlow in 2010.
I enjoy outdoor activities and climbed, or rather hiked up, the 4167m high Mount Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains in December 2012.

Kaye Fryer
Operations Manager
Before joining Zebra Connections in 2005 I was a Bounty Photographer at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, taking the first photos of newborn babies.
I started at Zebra as a call handler, but my role now covers all aspects of running the office. I set up accounts, configure phones, raise invoices, handle customer enquiries and report to my MD on a daily basis. I have mostly moved away from call handling, although I'm still the diary secretary and first point of contact for one of our Harley Street surgeon clients.
I am a keen netball player. I captain the Zebra Netball Team as well as being a qualified coach and secretary of Harlow Netball Association. This leaves just enough time for my 3 wonderful children, one long suffering husband, 3 dogs and the latest addition to the Fryer family - our first grandchild Sebastian.
