Acme Hemp Labs - Wholesale
Wholesale Hemp
Have you heard of a company called Acme Hemp Labs? Perhaps you've seen the ads? They're a "wholesale liquid nutrition" company. They produce hemp flower, which is harvested during the summer, which can be used in all sorts of ways, including making Hemp Cigarettes and other premium products.
Their Chief Executive Officer is Jim Perovich, who's leaders say is a pioneer in the "weed business". He co-founded International Dabbers with Dennis Nagel. In fact, he has an entire consulting practice specializing in the green industry, whose clients include Pioneer and Symmetry Brands.
Perovich says they hope to turn hemp products into a billion dollar industry. He says the profits from selling hemp will far outweigh any profit from selling other crops. He sees hemp as a superior crop to cash crops like wheat, corn, and soy. Because it is high in omega fatty acids, which are good for the heart, it is a natural dieter.
They say that their hemp flower goes through a thirty-day process where it is dried and loaded into 10 ounces, 240 cigar boxes. The nicotine in the blend of flowers can be very potent. In fact, the company recommends their clients only smoke hemp, while they are puffing on the Marijuana cigarettes.
Hemp and Marijuana are similar but they are not the same thing. It's illegal to smoke Hemp cigarettes in California, but they say they sell their product to both the California and Denver markets. When asked if he had gotten permission from the local law enforcement to sell the cigars he said, "No, they are perfectly legal." He told the Mercury News, "We're a regulated industry."
One of the executive officers told me the company did its own research, and that it is now illegal in California to sell hemp. He added that because it is illegal to sell it, they might be put out of business. He admitted to the Mercury News that his company was probably on the wrong side of the law on this one.
Perovich told the paper that he's never smoked Hemp flour, but he certainly doesn't want to. He says he doesn't have anything against marijuana smokers, and that he doesn't think he's going to go anywhere and get arrested. He does say, however, that some of his clients may have to take some time off work after inhaling the pollen from the hemp flower.
The next question would be, does the pollen from the hemp flower really give off that much pollen? Perovich told the Mercury News, "It's extremely potent, you're breathing it in every day, so yes, you may get sick, but it's a small amount." Yet, the pollen levels in the Hemp cigarette are quite high.
I recently read a report on a company that was using the pollen from the hemp leaf in a product called Zippo Honey. That company claimed it contained 420 different medicinal herbs. I guess that only works if they really used only hemp flower in their product.
If you purchase products that contain hemp flower or its powder, the chances are high that the product contains some type of hemp extract. Some companies use it, some don't. Either way, they probably don't label it.
As I mentioned earlier, there are several types of hemp products, including clothing, furniture, tools, building materials, and more. The greatest benefit is the fact that hemp is gluten-free, which helps the Celiac or Gluten intolerant population. With that said, they are not the best for people who cannot tolerate gluten, or the celiacs.
Overall, if you decide to purchase hemp products, you should do your homework. You should know what is going into the product, and how well it stands up to the hemp flower. Then decide if it's right for you.
