Best value Indian take away bar none. Food is not halal as far as i know, hence very popular. Half the price of any other indian take away. Can be fairly hot which i like. Food is tasty but rice can be luke warm sometimes. Heat up in your oven before eating.

My wife and I went to this restaurant having stumbled across it on the internet while looking for somewhere different to our usual haunts - and what a find! The evening was top notch from start to finish. The restaurant itself is warm and welcoming both in terms of the greeting we had front of house and the relaxed country restaurant styling. The service we got was just right - a good explanation of the menu options, time to sit with a drink and ponder and my query on one of the starter choices nicely checked with the kitchen and then explained. The menu was lovely, not at all pretentious but great platter combinations giving a good range of poultry, game, meat, fish and vegetarian choices all sensibly priced. Moving upstairs we were seated at a great table by a picture window and were served one of the best meals we have had in a restaurant for a very long time! The service through the meal was un-obtrusive but attentive and perfectly paced. All in all there was nothing of the evening that I would change and looking forward to making a regular return. Brilliant!

This resturant is absolutely fantastic, i was introduced to the chat house by an ex of mine and i have never looked back since. i have since introduced alot of friends and everyone says that it is one of the best they have tasted. They are friendly and helpful. If you eat in the atmoshere is great, the lights are dim so it sets a mood, even if you are there with a group of friends. i would recomend this restaurant to anyone who want to go out for a relaxing, enjoyable evening with friends or a partner. The portions are great, you will not leve there feeling unsatisfied.. Go ty it out, you will not be disappointed.

I recently started buying chicken at tasty jerk and on a couple of ocassions the staff have been rude. Sadly for me that's enough.

The service and the kebabs are the best in south east London

Wow, I went there for my friend's 21st birthday and it was great. On arriving, somebody opened the door for us, which was so welcoming. The staff there are so polite and friendly. When it came to ordering food, the staff again were so helpful and recommended the "Eat as Much as You Like" Menu that they only do from Sundays to Thurdays costing only £15 per person. The food was cooked fresh as we ordered and delicious. My favourite part was the Crispy Duck- My Old China definately does the best duck in town. The piece of duck we were given was a generous meaty piece, stripped apart by the waitress within seconds.

We had 3 courses of hot food and then found that toffee apple and some other desserts were also included in the Eat as Much as You like. I couldn't resist despite being so full so ordered a portion of toffee apple with ice cream. But when our desserts came out, we found that what we had ordered came out on a huge platter including what we already ordered plus lots more fresh fruits, presented beautifully with a crafted piece of pineapple, many balls of icecream and a candle on top. After singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl (all the staff joined in), the manageress sent her birthday wishes to my friend and then explained the huge platter was "on the house"! I think its a complimentary offer for all birthday bookings.

We were very impressed with everything that night and before we left we were even given a free round of drinks.

I really recommend this restaurant, especially for bigger parties as the atmosphere is just great.

i ordered some food to be delivered and was expecting it to be delivered within 45 minutes as promised by the take-away menu. after waiting for well over an hour i called to see where my food had got to. i was told that the delivery driver was waiting out side my house for 20 minutes and called me 5 times! none of this was true. i was checking outside my window every time i heard a car go by, i did not hear the door bell go, and i did not have any missed calls on my phone( i checked it had a signal).

Very average, lots of pre-prepared sauces with pataks pots clearly on display in the kitchen. Frozen veg used. Not what I expect of a professionally made meal. I would expect fresh and traditional not convenience.

We have Jayen Lau regularily in our house.The food is always good quality and hot. Big helpings great value for money.Highly recommended!

Absolutely superb!

Pansa Thai was a real find and I'm absolutely delighted we decided to dine there. The decor was traditional and atmospheric and had obviously avoided the need to be 'modern and pretentious'. Instead it felt like a genuine Thai restaurant with comfortable seatings and dark wood decor and carvings. The food was quite simply spectacular and the range of flavours and subtlety of spice took my back to when I lived in Thailand. I haven't eaten so much in ages and could quite happily go back for more! The service was attentive and quick and the bill extremely reasonable. Two of us ate 2 large courses with wine for £20 a head and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It is both suprising and a great shame that it isn't busier, although I hope with a few more reviews like mine 9and the one that made me try it, it will soon get well and truly on the South London food map!

We went to kafe la on Saturday night for a mate's birthday dinner and it was the best night EVER!!! We were quite a large group so we were given the set menu. Normally, that would mean that you have to choose from a small selection of sub-standard dishes.The food arrived promptly and tasted fabulous.Our waiter was lovely and very attentive.and rest of the night is a bit hazy but all of us reckon that it was the best night out we've had in a long time. Most definitely going back!

I went here last night for the first and definately the last time. The food avaliable for the buffet was much less than what is advertised on their web site and was really nothing special. The service was extremely slow and we were in there much longer than expected. Very dull with absolutely no atmosphere considering it was a friday night.

This is a lovely restaurant to eat in or out. I use only one other chinese restuarant, but I only buy duck from Kings. Their duck is 10 out of 10 - lovely, succulent and crispy.

Sapporos is a beautifully laid out restaurant and they have two set menus for two people; one is eight pounds fifty and the other twelve pounds fifty, so is a great place to go if you are on a budget. They do beef and other foods as well as sushi and it is a nice place to go at the start of a night out. The staff are friendly and the kitchen is open at the front of the restuarant so that you can see your food being prepared.

i love the food in this place, the environment is wonderfull and the staff are extremelt pleasent. i eat here every sunday with my partner and my little girl because it is such a wonderfull family restaurant. xxxx

I liked the PhetPailin so much my partner and I have been here 5 times or so and will be visitig with friends in the future. Friends who have been on our recommendation have also visited with their friends and family since. Having been to Thailand in late 2004, I feel the food is very authentic and in keeping with my expectations. I have been to more well known Thai restaurants in Manchester but feel that this surpasses them all to date. I really hope that this young restaurant survives to keep serving up great Thai food for many years to come. Keep up the good work!

This is the best Chinese we have found in Croydon - the staff are very helpful and the food always arrives hot.

let's be honest here, it looks really terrible from the outside. the waiting area is not much better. i'd avoided it as a result until someone i knew recommended it.

glad i did, it's a great little gem. i often have the lamb tikka shashlik, which is divine. the peshwari nans are massive, and well stuffed. my girlfriend compares it to a cake. gorgeous.

plus, it's probably the cheapest in the area. mainly because it's takeaway so you're not paying for the waiters. please, don't just take my word for it. go eat there!

best shisha cafe in manchester, very friendly staff. everything is 100% organized. I am a big shisha fan and never enjoyed a better one than here!!! in winter time there are heaters, so you dont feel cold at all. absolutely recommendable for single persons as well for groups... great service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The shisha is not that good, because the flavours are very cheap!!! The place is crawling with Tashi Sleezy Men. The staff are not very friendly, the manager needs tips on how to smile but his bro (wow).

The Blue Bengal in Carshalton opened during the Summer of 2006. With a beautiful and modern decor, along with exquisitely cooked food, it fast became the favourite Indian restaurant of both my own and my friend whom I have often visited with.
The menu offers a good variety of authentic Indian cuisine. A little on the pricey side, but not the most expensive place I have visited and certainly to be expected in this particular area. I have visited this restaurant approximately 8 or 9 times over the last 9 months. I recommend this restaurant for the quality of meals offered on the menu.
However, the menu states that "Our chef will be happy to prepare anything that you do not see on the menu". A very nice comment and was certainly true for our first 5 or 6 visits. But suddenly over our last 3 or 4 visits, a rather ill-mannered and balding (just so you know who he is) waiter has arrived on the scene and has refused to approach the chef with my friends request for a standard 'Garlic Chicken' dish. It had never been a problem in the past. But now suddenly it is? Infact, our recent visits have been tarnished by the attitude of this rude man who simply wished to argue with us, being his customers. So much so that our visits have been tarnished. I must add that it is solely this particular waiter that has pro-actively ruined our special evenings. All the other staff are professional and obliging.

This is a very nice local Chinese food outlet. I absolutely love their house noodles and the special fried rice, which I order everytime.

Couldn't get enough of the food there. Good food, good value, good track record. Would recommend.

ive been coming to this restraunt for the past 16 years and it only has got better and better the food quality is fantastic also the service is very good they have had a new extension done to the restaraunt which allows more seats still you have to wait for a table thats how busy they are .i would highly recommend this restaraunt

They offer fairly good price, which attracts a lot of customers. What I dont understand is how come the food doesnt taste fresh when lots of customers should mean food turnover is high so the food should stay fresh?

There is another buffet just down the road, which is better in this respect.

I am writing to complain about my dining experience at the Oriental Express Restaurant yesterday where I attended with a delegation of 5 people. I frequent the Oriental Express Restaurant, normally with a delegation of between 4-6 people, usually visitors from abroad. We got to the Oriental Express Restaurant at about 4:50pm to partake in your buffet. Sadly when we went to the tables most of the food was finished, and those that remained were iced cold. When I complained the waiter lit the candles under the containers in the hope that the food will get hot again, it didn't. We enquired about further dishes but just a few was brought and these too were not to the standards that we are normally used to at the Oriental Express Restaurant. As for me I am a vegetarian and there was nothing much for me!

I urge you to investigate this matter so that an explanation can be provided. If the food was finished surely we should have been advised. There were quite a few disgruntled other customers as well.

We have been going to the Ruby for almost 20 years. So you could say that we like the food there !!!!!
Naz always gives us a very warm welcome and the food is always to a very high standard. Eaten in other Indian restaurants in and around the Bromley area, but it's never the same quality you get from the Ruby.
Give it a try, l don't think you will be disappointed.

we have had both take away and eaten in here, in fact we ate in on the strength of their take away. What a disappointment. the service was slow and uncaring in the extreme, despite the place only having half a dozen tables occupied. the food was also somewhat disappointing. however we have had 2 fantastic take aways from there, so maybe we just went on a bad day!

this is a really good quality local Chinese.

I went to Waterfall Caribbean Restaurant and to be honest I was not impressed. With the table pre booked, and admittedly I got there late but still had to wait for a total of 30 minutes before being seated. The food was nothing spectacular and there really was nothing for vegetarians unless you want to eat stewed red bream, rock hard fried dumplings, stodgy macaroni cheese and witha tired looking salad and over cooked rice and chew mein. Anyway this is just my opinion and to be honest I could have cooked better myself and should have stayed at home.

Thr burger was fantastic! It is a very unique restaurant cuz there isnt a second 'American Diner' within Bromley or Croydon to my knowledge. There is a large choices of absolutely amazing dessert! KnickerBocker instantly caught my attention. When it came to the table it consisted of a layer of goodies: ice cream, chocolate fudge, fruits... in a tall glass, it was delightful! It also came with sprinkling of nuts so if you are allergic to it, just ask for it without the nuts cuz you absolutely must have it! The only thing I can think of that is similar is the ice creams that are served in the Hagen Daaz ice cream parlour in Leicester Sq.

The food come in generous portions. It is great value for money. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is quite casual and cosy.

The bottom line is this is an unique restaurant with quality food at great values... you can not not try it!

Since reopening we felt very disappointed with our meal there. There was a number of things which we totally disatisfied with. We wont be going there again!

Absolutely delicious Indian food, the best in the area. Always busy, even midweek which is always a good sign! Only downside is that they don't do delivery at weekends otherwise it would definitely get 5/5. We went there for dinner last week and after talking for Britain we were all silent during the meal because we were enjoying it so much!

This place has got so bad....everything is pouring with grease and you have no chance of removing the paper from the fish in most cases if you take it home....awful soggy chips and my daughter had a saveloy here once that was off...very off.

My friend and I ate out here last week. We had lunch from the set menu. Both ate the same (apart from starter) and unfortunately both got food poisoning as a result of eating here. Certainly not a pleasant experience either of us wish to repeat again. We have since reported Foxes to the Food safety team at Bromley council who are now investigating. However this place is already known to them due to poor storage of food anyhow. My advice would be to avoid Foxes Brasserie there are far nicer restaurants on Chislehurst High Street.

This place really shook up the old Chestnut cafe brigade in Chislehurst which was overpriced and greasy. The decor is open and light with a very welcoming atmosphere. the staff are always super friendly.
The only downside is that they do not alway cooks their roast potatoes fully , but in general the food is excellent. You can get everything from Breakfast to Steak and roast dinners , salads and baked potatoes and the portions are generous.We had a Christmas dinner here and it was lovely with a whole trout on the menu as well as the regular Turkey dinner.
I like the way the seating areas are partly partitioned to give a bit of privacy and everything is kept very clean and tidy. The service is top notch.
Visitors to Chislehurst will have a good view of the famous pond and its wildlife from a window seat.
I believe they can be booked for catering too and also we saw a wedding breakfast there once.The clientelle is mainly early workers and business people and local families.
the childrens menu is good as well and they cater for alterations by my daughter! She recommends the milkshakes.
Alcohol can be served too and proper coffee.
I cannot recommend the Mirage 2 highly enough....we love the place.

First time, Eating away from this place, it was great, I certainly recommend the dried spare ribs with the honey dip, succulent.
If you don’t like your food too greasy It’s the perfect place. The fortune cookies are pretty cool too.

Make sure you order 'Smoked Chicken with Seaweed' with each meal. Not sure what it is about Classic Wok, but they seem to this much nicer than the other take-aways.

The Seafood Ho Fun dried is one of my favourites, absolutely delicious. Ive been to Noodle Express in New Malden many times and would highly recommend it! The staff are very friendly and most welcoming. Good service. Fantastic food.

A group of eight of us visited the Star for a meal. We were seated and ordered seven bottles of indian beer. We chatted and ordered another seven beers, at this moment we realised we had been waiting 40 minutes for our food, i asked where the food was "its coming" was the reply. Shortly after the hotplates were placed on the table, 20 minutes later and still no food the hotplates were removed as they had gone cold.

I asked for the manager and explained we had been waiting over an hour for our meal, he assured me it would be with us within 5 minutes. 10 minutes elapsed and still no food. We decided to leave and asked for the bill for the drinks we had, i was disgusted to see it was over £65, making each bottle £4.60, more than i would pay in a nightclub. I refused to pay that much and the bill was reduced.

As we were leaving a family who had overheard our conversation told us they had come into the restaurant at the same time as ourselves and were still waiting for their meal.

So if you want an expensive night out, with no food and poor service would highly recommend The Star indian restaurant in Cheam Surrey.

I had a delivery from this place on the 25th April and I have to say it was quite the most disgusting food I have ever tasted in my life there was nothing that was delivered that was even edible and I have to say it was a total waste of money please save yourself time and money and do not use these people as they will disappoint.

My partner and I went to Limoncello for a meal and we've had the most wonderful meal we've ever had! The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere superb! We've since been back so many times and I have celebrated my birthday at Limoncello with 20 guests and they all had a fantastic meal and a wonderful time!!!

Bella Donna is an excellent little restaurant. Its lovely intimate gem where the staff put in that little bit extra. The food is excellent, tasty, well presented and very fairly priced. I have eaten in some top class restaurants (The likes of The Ivy London) and Bella Donna is the number 1 slot on my list.

the reasons for a 1star/5star:
1) person on the phone cannot speak english properly, i had the hardest time of my life trying to figure out mismatched/improper pronounciation of english ever.

2) i asked specifically "do you meet me downstairs of my (name) hall?" they said yes. after 1h 30mins, a guy called and said hes outside the carpark of lrc.

3) the time it takes was ridiculously long. 1h 30mins? come on, pick it up! it takes less than 20mins to take public transport there and get seated, order, and wait for food all takes 1h max.

4) the food i found were ok most likely due starving waiting for it to come. otherwise dont bother.

1star- its price is decent for take away for couple of ppls. thats about it.

I have ordered from this takeaway a few times, but when I received my order tonight I was quite disappointed the starter was not fresh, the duck was overcooked and was not shredded like I asked them to shred it, the pancakes were not nice. Overall for the money I paid tonight I was not impressed

Thai Beach is a lovely restaurant. My partner and I go there regularly. They serve you the best thai food EVER. Everytime we go to the restaurant it is fabulous and we are never dissapointed. Everything is cooked to perfection. Best for value, flavour and service!! 100% recommended to any true thai lovers.

We absolutely LOVE the Thai Beach restaurant in East Acton.

First appearances are deceptive in this instance. But beyond the exterior is a warm and very friendly atmosphere. Service is perfect & not invasive. It is subtle and efficient, leaving you adequate time to devour your excellent meal courses in peace.

A taste sensation which always leaves us feeling content and very happy. Excellent value for money and a pleasure to visit.

This really is a wonderful restaurant with friendly staff and great food. They have the most generous bento box we've encountered. Our favourites are the chicken teriyaki bento box, roast duck with ginger and pinapple gret salt and pepper chicken wings. We moved from Streatham a couple of years ago but still visit once a month.

I've eaten both in the restaurant as well as ordered take-away. Very nice staff. Very nice food. The only downside is that they don't open earlier than 5:30 pm.

Good value for money and good food. Service on weekends including Friday can sometimes be a little slow but on a weekday service is exceptionally fast.
Worth it! I buy my chinese food from here everytime. You get more from you money than some other local take aways

I have been to this restaurant many times for dim sum and it has never been perfect, but on this occasion I had to share my views.

I went there today for an afternoon lunch with the family and ordered dim sum but the service was VERY disappointing.
As soon as we were seated after a 30 minute wait, we were sat down on the table where the waitress walked by and threw the menu on the table.
Food was presented poorly with some of our dim sum only luke warm.

Worst was when we had to chase an order three times and when it finally came we had lost our appetite.

Absolutely appauling service and they had the cheek to charge us service charge! Obviously I refused to pay!

This is a shocking place, never again am i going there for a shisha, you may as well smoke coal throgh a pipe for what time you are there. The management are really very rubbish, with the staff.

We are a young professional couple with high standards when it comes to dining out. During the three years that we have been living in South Sutton, we have become regular visitors to Ricci's - perhaps twice a month.

The restaurant is a stone’s throw from the station but is the last restaurant in the line of shops. Therefore, it is not difficult to imagine that diners find themselves walking into one of the first Italians they come across rather than venturing a hundred yards to the end of the parade.

But Ricci's is certainly worth the few extra steps. The food is fantastic, the prices are very reasonable and the family who have owned the restaurant for years deliver the kind of service you would expect from a family-run Italian which genuinely values its customers.

The older lady who owns it always points out that her pizza bases are fresh and cooked from scratch in their big clay oven. Whatever you do, don’t confuse a Ricci's pizza base with a frozen one - I'm not convinced that you'd be forgiven. Her elderly and rather jolly husband will always joke in his strong accent (we think he's Italian) that he finds the credit card machine confusing. We find them really endearing.

Their Pizzas are amazing and the guy who has been manning the clay oven for years is either a perfectionist or he's got more pizza-preparing experience than you could shake a breadstick at.

For us, ambiance is key and Ricci's has a really pleasant, cosy atmosphere which I suspect is helped by the music(think Magic or Heart FM).

Ricci's is the restaurant you will want to make your regular.

We feel that if we are going to eat out during the credit crunch, we want to spend our money supporting small restaurants like Ricci's.

These locals and the people behind them were adding real colour to the community long before the chains arrived with their frozen pizza bases.

had a takeaway on saturday it was the best we have had from a takeaway it was resturant food at takeaway prices.
the food was very fresh and was not at all greasy.

I enjoyed my takeaway very much and is by far the cheapest in beckenham, the quality and the portion size was very value for money.I have eaten here 3 times and the consistency with the food was exactly the same. Definately making this takeaway my local and strongly advice anyone that likes chinese to try this one.

Rotten restaurant. We ordered a chicken dish and got duck. Wait INSISTED that we ordered the duck. Any reasonable restaurant would have changed it without hesitation. Would not go back due to the smugness of these guys and poor service.

The food here is amazing everytime so tasty and fresh, I have been getting takeaway from here for the last 4 years and not once has it been just ok, it has always been extremly tasty and I wish I could eat it more often! I always have it delivered quick too and they often throw in free salads, cucumber raita sauce and sweets. Excellent ONE OF THE BEST AROUND!!!

The Waterfall is great! I have never tried Caribbean food before, a mate took me out to dine here, and it was great! The portions are large and well priced, and delicious too. Atmosphere was great, I've recommended this place to all my mates.

I visited your web site in my search of a good caribbean restaurant and came across The Waterfall Restaurant located in Penge SE20. To tell the truth I was quite surprised and taken-a-back to see the one absolutely negative feedback posted. To see for myself, I went to the Waterfall last Sunday and can only summise that the last feedback must have been commenting on another restaurant.
The Waterfall was very warm and welcoming, the staff, considering their ages were polite and acted professionally. The music was rightly pitched, other diners were old, young, church groups, anniversary celebration and a birthday for which there was a massive cake carried to the table by the waitresses and everyone joined in the happy birthday song, it was marvelous. The food was simply first class. There was enogh of everything for everyone. I will be back there next Sunday and I have booked a table for 25 for Mothers Day. Vanessa, Bromley.

Fantastic food and great, friendly service, highly recommended.

Very unhappy with the food. The fritters were extremely large and contained very little salt fish, and appeared to be fried in old oil as were very dark in colour and tasteless. The rice & peas was obviously heated from frozen, the beef in the stew was tender, but the sauce appeared to be from a cube or powder. Juice was not freshly made. I hope that these comments will get the restaurant to look at the food preparation. As for the fritters, I have never seen fritters like those in my life. Sorry will not be eating at or recommending Waterfall.

I am really enjoying their offer right now, on every Wednesday you get four course meal for only £7.99, that's real bargain. The taste of the curry delightful. Murgh lazeez is the one to have.

Brilliant service the kids loved the samosas and the chicken balti was more flavour than the usual curry you get down the street. The wife loved the lamb korma which she describes as the right mixture of spices and herbs in a superb combination of mouth watering flavour. Delivery took 25 mins altogether which was surprising on a Friday night so hats off to Curry Corner look forward to ordering again!

I order from this takeaway every week and I must say that it has to be one of the BEST Indian takeaways around. The chicken dansak and chicken tikka masala are among my favourite dishes that this takeaway serves. As it was the first takeaway in Bromley, my taste for curry has grown from what this takeaway serves and I must say, out of all the years I have ordered from this takeaway I have never been dissapointed. The food is relatively cheaper compared to other takeaways but still tastes better than others. 10/10 and no.1 for curry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who loves or even does not like Indian dishes.

A really pathetic attempt at indian cusine, wtih rude and untrained staff, the poppoadom is a poor qaultiy over priced resturant.
i strongly advise not to eat there as the food poisaning will leave you ill and bed ridden for two weeks.
Not to mention violent diarrhoea all over you white linen trousers.

The food is lovely and the menu is unique compared to what you normally find on the high street so it is definitely at least a change of pace from your usual chinese or indian take-out or dine-in experience.

The dessert is also brilliant.

It's one of the best American restaurants around; food wise. You get great food and great value for money, with big portions. Atmosphere is noting special, but with the right crowd you can have a food fess for not too much money and a good night out!

one of the most awful eating experiences ever. ribs a speciality sickly sweet no spice to them at all. burger was of similar quality. coke was pepsi with a slice of lemon and size of glass was tiny re price. wasn't asked as to how wanted it cooked. was not cooked properly. had to leave cos felt ill and was after. this makes motorway service station food of the 80s look good. dennys in the us springs to mind as does little chef yuk.
as a former professional chef and part time us resident found whole experience embarassing and awful. wont return. so be warned.

We were giving excellent service and we loved the food and found it hot tasty and excellent value for money.
We cannot recommend it enough and just cant believe we "discovered" it only by chance as is wasnt advertised locally.

Dreadful fish and chip shop. I ordered haddock and chips and received haddock splits and chips. These are TINY haddocks which have been split into two, leaving on the fins and all the bones. These are NOT meant for use by fish and chip shops, they are undersized, cheap fish used by the smoking industry. Very similar to a kipper, they are riddled with tiny bones and still have the fins on. It was quite revolting. Either they don't know what they are buying OR they are trying to rip their customers off. I presume they thought they could get away with charging their customers full price (approx. £5) for a piece of fish that costs approx. less than 20p.

Very friendly staff. Food, wine and service was excellent. Pleasantly surprised with a very talented live 2 piece band that seemed to be able to play almost anything at a pleasant volume. Wasn’t cheap but well worth it.
Would highly recommend and definitely go again.
