Located on Guadalupe across from Dobie Mall, this intimate eatery hosts casual patrons in its 15-table dining room decorated with sparse pinewood walls, orange terracotta-tiled floors and a few vibrant paintings. At lunchtime, the space is bustling with local office workers and has a mellow evening crowd of families and students. The stocked menu features the Mount Fuji appetizer--tortilla wraps with avocado, veggies and cream cheese. The vegetable kebabs are marinated in a rich barbecue-flavored vegetarian sauce.

Veggie Heaven is a small, family owned, impersonal restaurant with a HUGE menu and fast service. You seat yourself and hardly communicate with your waiter, but the food is wonderful. Everything here is vegetarian (a lot of vegan options, as well). My favorite dishes are made with vegetable protein, which I recommend for you meat-eaters! All in all, you'll find something you like here'a good first try is the 'Protein 2000�?� located on their favorites menu, and don't forget the wide selection of bubble tea!

Buddha meets Laura Ashley in the decor of this vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Menu is heavy on Asian dishes, but also offers meat- and dairy-free pastas, sandwiches, and desserts.
